Understand team contributions with the new initiative breakdown

Cross-team initiatives can involve dozens of people working across multiple teams. Before diving into individual work items, you need to understand the bigger picture: which teams are actively contributing, how much effort each has invested, and how their work is progressing.

The new breakdown gives you that top-level view. When you open an initiative, you’ll now see a breakdown by team that shows:

  • Progress and remaining scope for each team
  • Effort and how it’s trending
  • Individual contributors

This makes it easier to spot patterns and understand how work for an initiative is distributed across your organization. For example, you might notice that one team has moved on while another is still actively contributing, or that a team has added significant new scope that wasn’t originally planned.

From the team breakdown, you can filter the work timeline to focus on a single team’s issues, or switch to the work tab to see the timeline across all teams.

To try it out, navigate to any of your initiatives in Swarmia.
