See all your initiatives at a glance with the new overview

Managing multiple cross-team engineering projects can feel like juggling in the dark. You know there’s a lot happening, but getting a clear picture of where everything stands requires digging through different boards and tools. Swarmia’s newly updated initiatives overview gives you instant visibility into project progress and team focus.

Track how projects evolve over time

Static project lists don’t tell the whole story. The new monthly trend breakdowns reveal how your projects are actually progressing:

  • Completion trends help you understand whether a project has stalled or if the scope is expanding. If completion isn’t moving but effort continues, you might be dealing with scope creep that needs addressing.
  • Effort trends show when teams are ramping up or moving on to other work. You’ll quickly see if a project is just starting, in full swing, or winding down — and spot when teams shift their focus between initiatives.

Find exactly what you’re looking for with filters

When you need to see specific projects, filters adapt to how you work:

  • Timeframe filter: See only projects that were active during your selected period.
  • Team filter: Zoom in on a specific team to see which initiatives they’ve contributed to, where they have work remaining, and where they’re currently focusing their effort.

These filters work together to answer critical questions like “What did the platform team work on last quarter?” or “Which initiatives are currently active across all teams?”

Getting started

If you’re using initiatives in Swarmia, the new overview is already available. Just navigate to initiatives to explore it. Use the time filter in the top right corner and the filters above the table to customize your view. Try different filter combinations to see how they affect the effort and completion metrics for each project.
