Do more with GitLab in Swarmia

Swarmia’s GitLab integration is now generally available, with support for both GitLab Cloud and GitLab Server. If your teams use both GitHub and GitLab, you’ll see work from both platforms in the same views.

With GitLab connected, you can:

  • Understand delivery and AI impact. Track cycle time, review time, batch size, and DORA metrics like deployment frequency and change lead time. GitLab activity is also included in the work log and AI insights, and you can explore your engineering data with Swarmia AI and the MCP server.
  • Track engineering investment. Connect GitLab merge requests to issues in your issue tracker to understand how effort is allocated across projects and initiatives, and generate software capitalization reports.
  • Keep work moving. See GitLab merge requests in your PR inbox, get Slack notifications for reviews, comments, and CI failures, and use working agreements to improve review times, keep batch sizes manageable, and stay within work-in-progress limits.

To get started, go to Settings → Code hosting and connect GitLab Cloud or GitLab Server. For private networks, our proxy agent lets you connect without opening inbound firewall access. See the GitLab setup guide for details.
