Connect any AI coding tool to Swarmia

Most engineering organizations now run several AI coding tools, and some build their own. You can now add any of them to Swarmia as a custom AI tool, alongside our built-in integrations for GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code. Once it’s connected, you get the same visibility into its adoption, activity, and impact as you do for the built-in ones.

There are two ways to connect a custom tool, and you can use either or both:

  • Link its contributor account. If the tool commits, opens pull requests, or leaves reviews under its own Git identity (usually a bot account), link that account to the tool. Swarmia then recognizes its commits, co-authored commits, and reviews as AI usage, and the tool appears in AI impact, cloud agents, and review agents.
  • Send usage data via API. For tools without their own Git identity, or when you want to see adoption and activity across your organization, send daily per-user usage data from your own scripts. Swarmia adds it to AI adoption and to AI tool detection and filters. The API also accepts cost, model, token, and activity data, so you can start sending it today.

To get started, go to Settings → AI tools and add the tool under Other AI tools. From there, follow our guide on custom AI tool integrations to link a contributor, send usage data, or both.
