Not every investment balance breakdown needs to cover all your engineering work. Sometimes you want to zoom in on a specific team, focus on a single issue type, or analyze how a particular slice of work breaks down across categories.
That’s why we’re introducing a new scope filter for investment balance breakdowns. With it, you can limit a breakdown to the work you care about and skip the rest.
The scope filter lets you define exactly which work a breakdown applies to. You can narrow it down to selected teams or use Swarmia’s full set of filters (the same ones you already use to define individual investment categories) for more advanced setups.
A few examples on how to use it:
Combined with AI-powered categorization, scope makes it easy to answer detailed distribution questions without manually setting up dozens of categories.
You’ll find the new scope option in the investment breakdown settings. Set it on an existing breakdown, or define it when creating a new one.
