Use Jira linked issues in initiatives and filters

You can now define how linked work items should be included in your Swarmia initiatives. This makes it easier to track cross-team work, especially if you’re using Jira Plans (previously Advanced Roadmaps) or Jira Product Discovery.

In initiative settings, you can now define which types of linked items get included. These items will be shown the same way as child issues, so your Jira Plans initiatives are reflected in Swarmia as you’d expect.

For example, if you’re using “is implemented by” links to connect work across teams, you can now include those linked issues in your initiatives to get a complete picture of the work involved.

To get started, navigate to initiative settings to configure which link types should be included in your initiatives.

You can also use links as filters anywhere in Swarmia. Find the new linked issues filter in the additional issue filters and then select the link type and issue key to surface related work.

This is useful when you want to see all issues blocking a specific epic, or find all issues that relate to a particular story. It’s just the first step, we'll be looking at more ways to incorporate linked items into Swarmia’s views.

More updates

  • You can now filter issues by reporter. This is useful if you want to see how much effort has gone to all the bugs you’ve reported.
  • You can now see the full list of contributors in focus summary. The new contributors panel sums up all individuals from the results in the table.
  • You can now see both Jira/Linear and Swarmia statuses in the issue details popup and page. This gives you additional context when you use more granular statuses in your issue tracker.
  • You can now change timeframe for the issue timeline inside the initiative view. This makes it quicker to load long-running initiatives and easier to zoom into a specific time period.
